Spreading energy and hope: Making the impact digestible

How do you share the impact you are making with Pupil Premium spend with the key stakeholders at your school? From Governors, Headteacher, Middle leaders, teachers at the coal face, pastoral leads and support staff...... They need to know the big picture and the impact you are having. How? Develop a quick fire guide they can digest easily. I developed the booklet below and distributed to all staff. This can be taken with them into any external meeting and means that the vision then will become the vernacular of the school. In essence everyone will now be able to articulate and verbalise the 6 main strategies we are using to help bolster the progress of the disadvantaged.

Now the distribution of such a key document is important. Forget about sending an emotionless email that will get skim read or put straight in the 'deleted' folder. Instead stand up in an all staff briefing and let you passion, enthusiasm and energy shine through. Link your impact to pupils in your school and use names in your pitch. This will help colleagues develop an emotional 'buy in' to what you say. Remember leaders are hope spreaders and are supposed to inject energy into a school. You can not do this through email..... no matter how savvy or slick you are!

I also attached a pack of Haribo to the back of each booklet. This went down a treat! (especially the Tangfastics)
